Studying to be a personal trainer: 5th Attendance weekend

By slhaf | November 30, 2009

Training part-time to be a PT has so far spanned four months and I have another three months to go, so it was bound to happen that one of my attendance weekends clashed with a holiday or illness, or both in my case.

Realising a bootcamp holiday fell on an attendance weekend, I contacted Premier and managed to reschedule it for two weeks later at the Dartford centre instead of where I normally study at Finsbury Park, London. Unfortunately, by the time the second date came around, I’d come down with a cold and the last thing I felt like doing was jumping around a gym.

Now I’m better, I am worried that I am behind, but with some juggling I should be able to squeeze in my missed weekend of practical study before the course finishes. Not to suggest that I haven’t been studying though. Next month, I’ll be sitting two exams on nutrition, and seeing as I’m the fitness editor, it’s not exactly my top subject. Time to get back to those books!

Fitness Editor Joanna Ebsworth is studying with Premier Training International. Visit www.premierglobal.co.uk for information on all courses available.

Stick at it – I know how hard it is to start and maintain a fitness regimes. It took me 3 months before I had organised my life to integrate a regular workout routine so all the best to you!
