Londoner’s opportunity to unleash their inner olympian at unique Discover Sport Open Day – 6th June

Internationally acclaimed Westway Sports Centre will be throwing open its world class facilities and providing top coaches and instructors to all Londoners in it’s Discover Sport Open Day on 6 June. Everyone – from tots to teens, beginners to pros – will be able to have a go at a range of exciting sports from football and tennis to street dance and cricket. Over 30 professional instructors and coaches will be on hand to help people discover:

Climbing: challenge your friends and see who can climb the highest in one of the UK’s largest indoor climbing centre, with over 2,200sqm of climbing
Football: become the next Beckham with help from top coaches on one of Westway’s six state of the art football pitches and enjoy the skills park
Tennis: serve like a pro in time for Wimbledon 2009 on the only clay courts in London
Handball Fives: test your speed, reaction and skill with this ancient sport

The day will be a carnival of entertainment with music, steel band and special activities for children including an inflatable assault course!

For as little as £2 for adults (less than the price of a cup of coffee!) and £1 for children, people of all ages and abilities can work with some of the best instructors in the country to discover a sport for them – while dancing to the beat of the live band!

Westway Sports Centre’s Discover Sport Open Day runs from: 11am – 3pm at 1 Crowthorne Road, London, W10 6RP. Prices: Adult £2, Children £1, Families £4 (Based on 2 adults and 2 children under 18).
